Our City saw an extravagant display of generosity over the weekend - hundreds of churches united in a movement of giving to the community. No Strings attached.
That’s the thing, isn’t? That there was NO CATCH.
Some people treat The Golden Rule as ‘Do unto others so they will do something good back unto you which is basically manipulation disguised as kindness.
Just be a blessing. Give cheerfully and willingly and don’t expect anything in return; No cashing in on the favour.
The Big Give started as a type of garage sale where everything is free and it has grown in to churches offering services, food, activities, all at no cost. They look for what their community needs and try to meet it. This is God’s love displayed.
Do good things for others and share what you have with them. Not just because it feels good, but because this is what pleases God.
